The city is under complete lockdown as the Ground Self Defense Forces secure Tokyo, quarantining all women between the ages of 15 and 35. Shadow monsters have grown to impossible sizes, feeding off the chaos and despair of the panicked citizens. With only a handful of magical girls left, the last seal locking away “The Beast” is weakening. This is the moment the girls have been preparing for: one last chance to save the world, as they risk everything—friends, family, girlfriends—in a desperate shot at freedom.

guessing the last one is sour
Well THAT was awesome.
But I haven’t gotten to listen to Bitter yet!!!!
This campaign really nailed the tone of the genre, in that it’s ending hit me like a sack of bricks.
I think I’ll give this a miss for today then come back to it when I re-find it in several months.
For now I want some DG.

I really loved this and I really like how it ended. I was also super invested in Anya and Aoki’s relationship. I’m excited for season 2 whenever that happens.
Really love the titles of these episodes and the inclusion of music.
What happened to the fourth person again? Caramel Knight.
I did go “hey wait, weren’t there four of them in the first episode?” and then I was distracted by heartbreak and adorable tentative romance.
The last couple episodes actually made me cry a couple of times, which I can’t say about many APs, and is particularly atypical for the sort of game RPPR tends to play.
God, so GOOD!!! That Season Finale… Damn! I look forward to where Season 2 goes.
Gotta say also, from a listener point of view, I liked the startings of these episodes. Just diving into the circumstances thrown at the players.
Legit felt very well themed and in tone to the framing of anime episodes and the genre.
Very late but, man I really liked this. I think the music was really well done and a great addition.
I think the odd thing is that even though it offered free dramatic inches Fae never went for an overdrive. That was kind of a cool choice.
This game series actually inspired me to DM my first ever campaign. It went alright, and we loved the concepts in this series so much that some of my players stole a few ideas from here. I can’t say i didn’t either! As a trans person, the inclusion all of you brought to the game made me incredibly happy, and invested me deeply in the series to see so many diverse characters and players at the table. Coming from a small town, it can be isolating trying to find a tabletop group that doesn’t just kill everything on sight, but honestly stories like this want me to get even better at writing. Thank you for everything
