New York State formed the Riley Commission in 1981 to determine the cause of sickness in a number of cases involving gold jewelry. It discovered that someone had taken gold brachytherapy seeds contaminated with radion-222 and smelted them down to make jewelry. Individual wearing the jewelery frequently developed skin cancer or other diseases when wearing the jewelery. This was publicly revealed and investigated.
The Commission kept some of its other findings secret, namely that other gold jewelry found during the investigation consistently led to psychotic episodes and mental breakdowns. The last member of the Commission, Albert Bradford, died under unusual circumstances. His grandson, Stephen Bradford, recently found a diary Albert kept during the Commission. Stephen has made inquiries related to the contents of the diary. These inquiries were entered into computers and flagged by Delta Green’s monitoring system for containing multiple flagged keywords and terms. A cell is activated to acquire the diary and assess its contents.
