A group of vigilantes must uncover the mystery surrounding the death of the Silver Scarab but in doing so, they uncover a dark conspiracy that threatens the fate of the world. This was run during Gencon 2009 and while I did have a sign up sheet for the players, I lost it. So if you played in this game, please let us know in the comments.

  1. Existential dread wins again! Or is it a tie this time?

  2. I was wondering if you were going to post this one!

I played the occultist woman. I feel like I was a bit of a wallflower in this game; Of course, I was slightly nervous too since it was being recorded. Overall very enjoyable game though. The guy who played Sir Blackstone did an awesome job playing out the club scene.

  3. Don’t be skurred Ninja.

Yeah the guy who played Sir Blackstone had a great superhero voice, made this AP really enjoyable…

  4. I played the Russian inventor gal. I haven’t listened to the whole thing yet, but I’m already cringing at my desire to do an accent and my recollection of barely knowing the rules during the game.

  5. I was The Nocturne. I know I was a bit withdrawn since I didn’t know the system nor the players.

    [spoilar alart!]

I regret that I didn’t side against the masks at the end since I don’t know how strangers would react to intraparty violence even for a one-shot, and instead just abstained from the final fight. Oh, if only I used my deflection power to protect the big bad evil guy. I’m sure I would have lost, but it would have been a fun way to go.

  6. Hello all!

I had the pleasure of playing Sir Blackstone during that session, and it was one of the highlights of that particular GenCon! It’s great to find it recorded here. Really enjoyed it. Thanks again to Ross and everyone else who played.
