  1. Awesome session and just all around awesome campaign! One of my favorite campaigns you guys have done. Really enjoyed your take on Terminus Station Ross and everyone made and played great characters. One question, what did David say in drow to the Conductor?

  2. “In the event that my companion dies, please teach me my Zenith Ability True Resurrection? If I must die to save him, so be it.”

Valanthe knew that at least one of the teammates would try the sacrifice play, and the witch took steps. True Resurrection will bring back someone from the dead, and they can never permanently die again; upon their demise, a new copy with all of the same memories comes into existence somewhere within The Heart.

  3. Cool, thanks for the response. Did you have that in mind going into the last session or was that something you decided during play? Also, as Valanthe would say to never trust a drow, what was their thought process for having them value their friends life more than their own? Unless that comes up in the post mortem.

  4. When one’s time grows short, the common thoughts are to 1) make the most of the remaining sand 2) tie up any loose ends, and 3) make the end meaningful. These three thoughts come with any diagnosis that ends in death, though the ratio may be different from person to person.

Valanthe knew the team well enough for the request to have been planned two sessions back, but didn’t tell the teammates. Valanthe was also well aware that the others would not have approved of the idea and would fight Valanthe’s efforts to save them (case in point, previous episode) and kept the ability under wraps so that when the time came, the Resurrection could not be stopped.

“The Drow are not to be trusted. Fortunately, these are two humans and a Gnoll; I’ll make sure one of them lives.”

  5. Out of curiosity, will Descending Derelictus get a post mortem? Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on the campaign.

I totally forgot to do that for Heart. At this point, it’s been so long, I don’t know if it would be worth. I’ll ask the players.
