The year is 1501 DR. The last hundred years have been an endless procession of apocalypse: The Time of Troubles. The Spellplague. The Wailing Years. The Great Rain. The Second Sundering. The Weave itself has nearly collapsed almost three times, held together only by the efforts of reckless archmages, tireless in the face of the cyclical death and rebirth of the goddess of magic. The rules of divinity have barely held stable over this hundred years of conflict, maintaining a tense peace, with the gods content to remain aloof from the material plane. At least for now, perhaps.
For the mortals of Faerun, however, yet another calamity has befallen them.
Three adventurers gather in the basement of the Fat Tail to discuss the unthinkable: a god has been slain, its rotting corpse decaying into salt off the coast of Daggerford. Faced with a monumental power vacuum, will they be able to uphold the fragile truce between the divine planes ⸺ or will their efforts ignite an all-out war?
