Candle Cove by Ean Moody Candle Cove was a kid’s show in the early 70s that many remember seeing but no one has ever found proof it ever existed. Until now. Three friends find a tape that supposedly contains an episode of the show. Soon after they play the tape, a strange man appears at their doorstep and the three mortals find themselves in a desperate struggle between a dangerous cult and a being beyond comprehension, known only as the ‘Skin Taker’. Enjoy this double length AP as our way of sayings thanks for making the Codex of War ransom!

The Captain by Ean MoodyIn this episode the Water Barons fight to retrieve a Lemurian artifact before Cortez’s horde. Can they survive the onslaught of murderous monsters and other deadly challenges? Perhaps they can with a little help from an old friend…The Captain! (formerly the Lieutenant).

In this investigator’s opinion, COL Wade’s motive for launching OPERATION OBSIDIAN was his obsessive need for revenge. This investigator now believes that COL Wade was more deeply affected by his previous experience at Angka Watt temple complex ruins during OPERATION GLASS SLIPPER than his post-mission psychological examination revealed. OPERATION GLASS SLIPPER was successful, insomuch as the entity known as the Black Buddha was detached from this dimensional reference, but it was not killed. CAPT Wade’s responses to Dr. Roth indicated he believed that the entity would have been eliminated if the team had access to sufficient firepower. It is this investigator’s belief that OPERATION OBSIDIAN was COL Wade’s attempt to test that theory. Unfortunately, Wade’s methods were…unsound.

This scenario is based on notes from Adam Scott Glancy of Pagan Publishing.

This game was run at Fear the Con, so thanks to the crew at Fear the Boot for inviting us!

If you enjoy RPPR’s Actual Plays, contribute to the Codex of War ransom to get early access to a bunch of episodes, including Call of Cthulhu and Fear Itself.

The Kingdom of Oz is in peril! The Wizard and Dorothy have long since abandoned it and a new ruler is needed before it falls apart. But there’s only one person capable of uniting the kingdom…the Wicked Witch of the West. The players must brew her back to life with a magic ritual and figure out how to change her so she’s a bit more suitable as a ruler. In order to do this, the players must go on a quest and figure out what makes a worthy ruler. Find out what they wind up doing in this one shot I ran at Dragoncon 2009.

Don’t forget to contribute to the RPPR Codex of War Ransom! No New World episodes will be released until the ransom is met but if you contribute at least $20, you will get early access to them.

A group of vigilantes must uncover the mystery surrounding the death of the Silver Scarab but in doing so, they uncover a dark conspiracy that threatens the fate of the world. This was run during Gencon 2009 and while I did have a sign up sheet for the players, I lost it. So if you played in this game, please let us know in the comments.
