Really cool ending to this. KiY stuff is always great with how weird it gets and this was the perfect amount of crazy. Honestly, having mythos symbols be used as lucky charms in war makes a lot of sense and could see DG having operations having to stamp those out in modern day.
Loved it. The unique environment of the trenches is a fascinating frame for mythos interaction. I’d be tempted to run it that the initial exposure was semi-unintentional – one of the parisian orphans managed to loot the remains of the theater where the play was staged and passed something with the sign on to a soldier – to try and imply that it’s the metaphysical equivalent of shrapnel and subsequent infection, drawing parallels with the dangers of the trench itself.
Just saying :p
