The Sense of the Sleight-of-Hand Man is a full-length Call of Cthulhu (Sixth Edition) campaign of adventure, cosmic mystery, and deepest fear set in the Dreamlands of H.P. Lovecraft. The player characters—the Dreamers—explore the breadth of the otherworldly Dreamlands seeking a way back to the lives that they left behind. 0223252-5In 1928, in York County Pennsylvania, two men murdered another because they believed they were being hexed. The crime caught the attention of the country, as many were astounded to discover that some still believed in witches and curses in the 20th century.  Of course, the reality was far darker than even the authorities ever realized. The next year, a group of strangers come together to learn that the Pow-Wow men of York County hold darker secrets than anyone suspected. Secrets worth killing over. Can the strangers come together to find out the truth and stop a great supernatural evil before it’s too late? Find out as a full table of veteran and newbie players plunge into the depths of Hex Hollow!

WE GOT A MOTHERFUCKING CTHULHU!Tom steps up to the plate to run yet another game of Call of Cthulhu. He’s calling it Desert Heist, but I write the show notes so it’s going up as Payday. Anyway, the player characters are criminals hired to steal a particular item from a FBI evidence storage warehouse. It’s a very straightforward job with no unseen complications. No, it’s the other thing, where there are tons of complications and twists. Enjoy!

Looks like a sound investment. http://matthewniederhauser.com/research/2011/09/03/the-ordos-real-estate-bubble-an-empty-chinese-metropolis/When I was in China, I met up with some RPPR listeners and ran a game of Call of Cthulhu for them. I was fascinated by the rise of Ghost Cities in China, so I decided to run a one shot set in one. Three investigators hired by a western hedge fund head out to Inner Mongolia to assess a newly built city, which is oddly called July Park, as a potential investment opportunity. The investigators find more than they could have imagined but will they survive long enough to understand what they have seen?

Please note that this episode was recorded on my phone instead of the usual recorder, so the quality isn’t quite as good. I had a blast running the game so I think you guys will still enjoy it.

A community of homeless citizens have banded together in an abandoned section of the NYC subway system. They are protected by a mysterious cult of silver-masked acolytes who claim the dead for their own, but otherwise ensure that the homeless remain safe. But when an unnatural danger attacks the community and threatens everyone, several members of the community rise up to put a stop to it. They have little but their own lives to risk, but they won’t stop them from finding out what lurks in the dark heart of the city.
