A team from the Royal Jaune Records label arrives in Bon Marais, Louisiana, in June of 1956. They are in search of the original lyrics to the popular folk song “Cotton-Eyed Joe.” The family of local folk legend Rory Welch claims to have those lyrics and have promised to release them…for a sizeable sum, of course. But dark and terrible things lurk in the Louisiana swamps, and the team find themselves getting more than what they bargained for in this lyrical deal.

Harlem, New York City, December 1920. Even as the bitter cold envelops the city, Harlem is heating up. A vibrant rent party turns deadly when monstrous attackers show up. In the aftermath, two veterans of World War 1, some of the Harlem Hellfighters, are blamed and arrested. Friends of the veterans try to help them by investigating the attackers, who appeared like undead German soldiers from the War. Something dark stalks the streets of Harlem and only a trio of heroes can stop them!

In Medieval Europe, the Black Death has taken countless lives. Some of its victims have arisen as the restless undead, killing any who fall in their grasp. The survivors huddle together in walled fortresses and towns, trying to eke a living. Some of the hardier survivors take mercenary work, no matter how dangerous it is. One such team has agreed to retrieve a spice chest from an abandoned fortress. What price will they pay to complete their mission?

This game was run by Ethan Cordray of Technical Difficulties podcast, using his beta version of Red Markets Black Death, a medieval hack of Red Markets.
