The year is 1936. The passengers on PanAm’s trans-Pacific flying boat “The Orient Clipper” are planning to travel from San Francisco to Hong Kong in five days of four-star luxury. Each travels to serve their own mysterious and dubious agendas. But when they are cast into an impossible world of lost civilizations, prehistoric beasts and primitive tribesmen, they must pull together to escape the fate of so many others who have been marooned here. Can they gain the trust of the locals? Can they salvage the parts they need to repair their plane from the “graveyard of ships?” Can they avoid the titanic beasts and brutal corsairs that call this world their hunting grounds. Find out in this weeks episode of Hollow Earth Expedition- “Escape from the Eye of Thoth!”

Players below the fold

In the grim dark future, Seattle is home to freelance mercenaries armed with high technology and magic. Called Shadowrunners, they take whatever jobs they can get, even if they involve murder. One such team needs to get blackmail material on a rich man hosting a most unusual convention.

A special thanks goes out to Bridget, a friend of RPPR, who ran this game for us and Noah and Richard from A Fistful of Misanthropes and Role Playing Exchange. Enjoy!

Belly of the Beast is a fantasy survival horror RPG about living inside a continent-sized beast that swallows up cities and countries. In this one shot, two scavengers take a job for their clan to secure a trade route with a nearby enclave. When they arrive at the neighboring enclave, they discover a half-mad tyrant who abuses and exploits his people. The tyrant demands they help oppress his people in exchange for his aid. Do the scavengers take the job or plot to remove the tyrant from power?

A secret underwater lab on the exoplanet Poseidon has gone silent. The last transmission indicates the on site security chief went mad and began to slaughter everyone on the station. A team of commandos from Global Ecology Organization (GEO) has been sent in to investigate why. They will have to deal with storms, the station’s defenses, and a renegade genetically enhanced super soldier.

This session was run by the game’s creator, Jeff Barber. Please check out Biohazard Game’s website to learn more about Blue Planet.

Even the heroes of Gate 9 need an occasional break from raiding bases and fighting villains. Thanks to crowdfunding, three brilliant cinematic legends, Tommy Wiseau, Neil Breen, and James Nguyen, were able to create a movie they co-wrote, starred, and directed called The Marcy’s Invisible Veranda of Infinite Light. Find out what twists and turns are in this fine piece of cinema in this very serious movie!  In order to capture its brilliance, I used the RPG It Came From the Late, Late, Late Show with some house rules to run this very important and possibly solah-powered game.
