When Valanthe, a Drow, tells you that Drow are untrustworthy, you can definitely trust them to be telling the truth about Drow being generally untrustworthy.
Everything else Valanthe says, make up your own mind as to the veracity. After all, you’ve seen what Valanthe is capable of by now; would *you* trust them?
