Mutant Crawl Classics: The Museum at the End of Time

mccWith an unsettling combination of eager anticipation and uneasy courage, you and the friends of your youth face the portentous prospect of setting out upon your Rite of Passage. Your parents and extended families embrace you for what may be the last time. You pat your slung leather pouch full of jerked roxen meat and your overfull waterskin, making sure it’s all there, as you cradle the flint dagger carried in a thigh-bound sheath. You seek triumph and technology, winning it with mutations and magic, soaked in the radiation and quantum fields of the mutated, the savage, the semi-sentient, and the artificially intelligent. There are treasures to be won in the taboo lands and ruins, and you shall have them.

This funnel adventure was released as a free preview adventure for Mutant Crawl Classics, which is being Kickstarted right now. If you dig crazy sci-fi dungeon crawling, check it out!

  1. Hell Yes! I was wondering how Mutant Crawl Classics runs!

  2. Fantastic and going to love listening to the AP!

  3. GM: Touching the artifact you’ve gained 3 points of Intelligence.

Player: Do the characters that do this show any unusual outward signs?

GM: Examining your comrades, your keen insight into human nature takes note of the early symptoms of several disorders:
    * Anxiety – As they gain fresh realization of all the ways things might go wrong.
    * Depression – As the futility of continued existence sets in.
    * Impostor Syndrome – Realizing that the feats of survival they’ve accomplished are more due to chance than any innate ability they possess.

However, on the plus side, they seem to have kicked those nasty Dunning-Kruger issues that always plagued them.

  4. Fun system as I love the DCC rules so a mutant version would be great for doing Gamma World, Paranoia, Fallout & Thundarr the Barbarian themed games with MCC. Yeah, yet another RPG I’m hooked on thanks to RPPR 🙂

Should be quite fun to see this book when it’s ready as this AP alone makes it sound quite awesome.

  5. Just discovered this podcast. Awesome content folks! Some constructive criticism: please re-listen to this episode and notice/count how many times “uh..” happens. 🙂

It’s really distracting! Tough habit to break but I guarantee it’s worth it. Again, good job otherwise.

  6. The only critique I have is the “Uhmm Uhmm Uhmms” really detract from being able to listen to this podcast.
